Microplastic Solution is dedicated to developing environmentally relevant and practical microplastic reference materials for a wide range of applications; for researchers, by researchers.
Our reference materials cover more than 25 polymer types, multiple colors, and diverse particle morphologies. From environmentally relevant microplastic particles (10–1000 µm; fragments, fibers, and beads) to precisely defined, water-soluble spike samples and Py-GC-MS calibration standards, our products support method development, validation, toxicology studies, and routine microplastic analysis.
Our portfolio is organized into three product families: EasyMP™ for general method development and toxicology, ExactMP™ for precisely defined particle counts, and EasyPyCal™ for Py-GC-MS calibration and quantification.

EasyMP™: Mixed polymer composition samples

EasyPyCal™: Py-GC-MS calibration standards designed for quantitative pyrolysis analysis. Single-polymer, and 6 & 12 polymer kits with concentrations from 1.0 to 50 µg/mg depending on your selection. Features microplastic fragments (<50 µm), neat OR in mineral diluent blends. Includes matching matrix control samples and a detailed certificate of preparation (COP) with full traceability. Available in 150 mg, 0.5 g and 1.0 g aliquots for multiple analytical runs
Reference materials developed for standardized water analysis workflows; improving confidence and comparability in laboratories using ISO 16094-2, EU 2020/2184, and ASTM D8401-24 methodologies.

Beads
Microplastic beads are versatile tools in microplastic research, offering multiple benefits. Their inherent sphericity and vibrant color options, enhances visibility for effective analysis.

Fragments
Fragments are by far the most prevalent type of environmental microplastics, and are available in the 10-100, 100-500 and >500 µm size ranges in various colors and polymer types.

Fibers
We prepare fibers in specified quantities and size distributions. These fibers are available in diverse polymer types, colors, and morphological features, starting from a length of 50 µm.


Your sample is unique
Each sample according to your specifications
Only a few of our reference materials are kept in stock. When we receive your order, a unique process is initatied. From the raw polymer of your selection, we produce the requested samples. Expect therefore 1 to 3 weeks of delay between your order and shipping; depending on the size of your order. If we have doubts or advice concerning your samples, we will contact you to ensure their relevance to your application. We care!


On the label of your sample you will find a QR code linked to your unique sample. The link grants access to a dedicated cloud folder with all the necessary data related to your sample and a comprehensice certificate of analysis (COA). In this way you always have your data at the tip of your fingers.
